The 2018 Tax Reform Changes have gone into effect. This means that the 1040A and 1040EZ will no longer be used. The library has the 1040 Instruction booklet and form.
The booklet and form will be at the front entrance, between the two sets of double doors.
Any other instructions or forms can be found at www.irs.gov.
The library will not be receiving any state tax forms or instructions. These are available at tax.virginia.gov.
All tax forms, except for some Federal 1099 forms, can be printed out at the library for $.15 per page. We also have reference copies of the instruction books and copies can be made for $.15 per page.
Beginning on Feb. 1 through April 15*, the AARP will provide in-person tax assistance in the Community Meeting Room on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. They do not take appointments but serve people on a first come, first served basis. They will start taking names at 7:30 am.
*There will be no tax assistance on Feb 18, 23, and April 13.
